T'Other Side: Thatto Heath Crusaders

can’t bring you our usual comprehensive analysis of opposition this week but
here is as much as we have been able to find.

History
Thatto
Heath began life in 1981. The major figure in getting the club starts was
ex-St. Helens player Frankie Barrow.
They
started in the NW Counties 4th division but progressed very quickly and in 1987
they won the NW Counties Premier Division and the BARLA National Cup.
In
1999 they merged with St. Helens Crusaders and the merged club became Thatto
Heath Crusaders.
They
have been in the National Conference since 2000 and were National Conference
champions twice.
They have beaten a professional team in the Challenge Cup. That was Chorley Chieftains who they overcame 27-12 in the third round in 1996.
2023
They finished eighth in the Premier League they entered the play-offs but lost 22-6 away to Rochdale Mayfield in the Eliminator Round.
2024 Challenge Cup
As a top National Conference team they entered the
Challenge Cup in the second round and they beat the Royal Navy 32-24 at
Portsmouth.
