T'Other Side: London Broncos

Head Coach: Mike Eccles

We have no record of Mike Eccles playing professionally.

He has been at London Broncos since 2012, originally as Strength and Conditioning Coach.  In 2013 he became Head of Strength and Conditioning and then Head of Performance in 2016.

In May of 2022, when Tom Tsang departed, he was appointed as caretaker coach and then was appointed Head Coach in September that year.

Captain: Will Lovell

Jay Pitts was the Broncos captain in 2018 and 2019 but he moved on to Wakefield Trinity and Will Lovell took over. Will was born in Northampton and he has spent his entire playing career with London Broncos, making his début in 2012. He has also played for London Skolars on dual reg in the four years from 2013 to 2016.

He has played mainly in the second row or at centre although in 2022 he did play occasionally at prop or loose forward. Since the beginning of 2023 all his appearances have been in the second row.

Dual Registration and Loan signings

During 2025, Sam Davis (Salford Red Devils) and Joe Diskin and Jack Smith (Leeds Rhinos) have played for London on dual registration.

London have had 14 players on loan.

The Fev Connection

Amongst the list of players of who have played for both clubs are:

Wellington Albert (prop) came to the UK in 2018 to join Widnes who signed him from PNG Hunters. During that first year he also played a game for North Wales on dual reg. In 2019 he signed for Leeds Rhinos and played for Fev on dual reg and the dual reg was later changed into a loan signing. He continued at Fev (on loan from Leeds) for the start of the 2020 season until the Championship was abandoned because of Covid.

In 2021 he signed for Keighley but an injury before the season began kept him out for the whole year so he never played for Keighley.  He spent 2022 and 2023 at London Broncos playing 41 times for them and scoring 6 tries.

In 2024 he came back to Fev. Altogether, for Rovers,  he made 37 appearances a scored 3 tries.

He is a PNG international and played for them in the World Cups of 2013, 2017 and 2022.

Andy McNally (stand-off or full back) made his professional début with Castleford in 2001. In 2003 he came on loan to Fev. He then joined Broncos in 2004 but after only 9 games with them he transferred back to Fev. Sadly, during the 2005 season, at the age of just 23, a serious injury put an end to his playing career. In total for Fev he played 34 games, scored 14 tries and kicked 1 goal.
